Creative Response Composing
Starting in 2023 with my Abstract Art creative response project. I invited composers to write music in response to abstract art exhibition in Reading Museum. I added QR codes next to the artwork so visitors could listen to the music of each composer. in 2024, the museum and art gallery commissioned me to compose a new piece for an Arctic Mirage exhibition which I called Thin Ice. My latest composition in 2025 is called Humaniti, out on all streaming platforms and digital music stores.
This live act and composition has evolved throughout 2024 and is becoming a blend of ambient synth, world music and real instruments. Live performances at Waterfest in Reading in 2024 , followed by performances in South St Arts Centre 'EMOM Night' in Reading in October 2024. More gigs planned for 2025
I'm repairing, recycling unused / unloved second hand guitars and making them available to beginners with online learning. All in a single monthly subscription. Launched in 2025 .. more information
I've been podcasting for 8 years and live-streaming gigs for longer. I'm passionate about searching for new music and shining a light on original music. Just Dropped Music (formerly The New Music Show) is a showcase of new music via live music events, digital podcasts and original music competitions
Community Music Projects
Proud to be an active member of my home town's music community.
I setup a (CIO) charity called Reading Rock Academy, helping teenagers get into bands and write original music. Helped local musicians establish their own community interest company called World Groove CIC. Donated guitars to a local homeless prevention charity and volunteer there as guitar teacher / coach. I've setup guitar clubs for local residents in Ebb & Flow / Station Hill District. I encourage community engagement and support my local music scene where possible.
